Antique Solid Oak Refectory Dining Table – English Elizabethan Revival
A substantial, solid oak refectory-style dining table, inspired by classic English country and Elizabethan revival design. The rectangular plank top features a moulded edge and softly rounded corners, displaying a warm, even patina with honest age-related wear including light marks and surface scratches consistent with long use.
Raised on turned baluster legs, united by a central stretcher and terminating in shaped trestle feet, the table offers excellent stability along with timeless farmhouse character. The construction is simple and robust, typical of well-made early 20th-century English furniture, designed to echo earlier Tudor and Jacobean forms. A versatile and practical piece, ideal for use as a dining or kitchen table, combining traditional styling with everyday usability. Date: Circa 1920–1940 (Interwar period, English)
