A substantial antique hand-carved wooden dough bowl, hewn from a single solid piece of timber and formed with a deep circular profile and thick, robust walls. The surface displays a rich, dark patina built up over years of use, with visible tool marks, natural age cracks and wear that highlight its traditional craftsmanship and authenticity.

 

Originally used for mixing and proving bread dough, the bowl now makes a striking rustic centrepiece, ideal for interior styling, fruit display or period settings. Its honest construction and strong character give it both decorative and functional appeal.  Late 19th to early 20th century, circa 1880–1920

 

Condition: Vintage condition with age-related wear as photographed.
