A substantial antique wooden travelling trunk dating to the late Victorian or early Edwardian period, originally designed for long-distance travel and now ideal as a decorative storage chest or statement interior piece.  Constructed from solid timber, the trunk is reinforced with heavy iron corner straps and riveted metal banding, giving it both strength and distinctive industrial character.

 

It retains its original carry handles and working latches, adding to its authenticity and practical appeal. The surface displays honest age-related wear, marks and patina consistent with over a century of use, enhancing its character and historical presence.
