Late Georgian / Early Victorian Elm & Beech Windsor Armchair Stick-Back Country
Late Georgian / Early Victorian, c.1790–1840. A classic English stick-back Windsor armchair crafted in solid elm and beech. The chair features a beautifully grained elm seat, slender turned spindle back, shaped bow top rail, and shaped arms supported by turned uprights.
Raised on turned legs united by a strong H-stretcher base, it is both sturdy and well-balanced — typical of traditional country Windsor construction. The surface shows an attractive, honest patina with wear consistent with age and use, enhancing its character and authenticity. A timeless piece of English country furniture, ideal for farmhouse, cottage, or period interiors.
