Mid-Century Oak Trestle Table & 4 Ercol Goldsmith Chairs (1960s)
Circa 1950s–1960s. A classic mid-century dining set comprising a dark-stained solid oak trestle dining table together with a set of four Ercol Goldsmith “Moustache” stick-back dining chairs, including one carver.
The table features a generous rectangular top with rounded corners, raised on twin pedestal trestle supports with a central stretcher, offering strength and timeless English country styling. The rich oak grain and aged finish give warmth and character to any kitchen or dining room. Designed by Lucian Ercolani, the Ercol Goldsmith chairs are crafted from solid beech with elm seats and display the distinctive curved “moustache” top rail.
The set includes three side chairs and one armchair (carver). The frames and legs show an attractive, worn patina with age-related scuffs consistent with honest vintage use. Supplied with genuine cushions. A highly sought-after combination of mid-century British design and traditional craftsmanship — ideal for farmhouse interiors, period homes or collectors of vintage Ercol furniture.
