Circa 1870–1900 (Late 19th Century).  A large Victorian solid pine blanket box, traditionally known as a mule chest, with a hinged lift-up lid opening to reveal generous internal storage. Two lower drawers provide additional space, making this a practical and versatile antique storage piece. 
 
Constructed in solid pine with classic country-style craftsmanship, the chest features dovetail joints, original side carrying handles and stands on a shaped plinth base. The warm, natural grain and aged patina enhance its authentic late 19th-century character.  Ideal for use as a blanket chest, linen box, toy chest or period storage piece in a bedroom, hallway or cottage interior.
 
Condition: Vintage condition with age-related wear as photographed.
